Appleton Estate Rum Distillery

Straight up, with cola, or in cocktails there is no wrong way to drink Jamaican rum!

See Jamaica’s oldest sugar estate and distillery on an informative guided tour. Appleton Estate is a Jamaican legacy. Located in the Cockpit County, Jamaica’s largest remaining contiguous rainforest, the estate dates back to Sir Francis Dickenson in 1655. Changing hands over the years, Appleton Estate Rum has been produced here since 1749. In addition to learning about rum production, you will see the traditional distillation methods using 200-year-old copper pot stills. You may also taste an array of different rums produced on the estate. Sample fresh sugar cane juice and molasses. And of course, drink plenty of the rum! Taste the passion that goes into every drop at Appleton Estate Rum Distillery.
